Sarah Byrom is an Assistant District Attorney with the Travis County District Attorney’s Office specializing in wrongful conviction investigation and litigation.
Sarah grew up in Austin and got her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Psychology before moving to Washington, D.C. to study law at the George Washington University school of law. She obtained her J.D. in 2020 at GW and has been a practicing attorney in Texas since 2021. She knows that building up the unhoused community is integral to the health of the community as a whole, and believes that every person deserves respect, dignity, and support. Sarah is excited to work with Heart of Texas Outreach to uplift the unhoused community of Austin and give back to the city and community that shaped her.
